Thinking of Mexico

Denim- Forever 21
Shoes- DSW
Bag- Kate Spade
Earrings- Francesca's [similar here & here]

Those amazing after Christmas sales is when I snagged this top. It's probably my current favorites in my closet, and for some reason it has me thinking of a trip to Mexico. Maybe it's the color and all that's going on on the sleeves. You may also wonder why I have two different bags and that's because I couldn't decide which I liked haha. I hate how much I love it and how I couldn't find anything even remotely close to it! I linked a few items, but they just aren't the same. So sorry y'all!

Yet another post with my natural hair... eek! Let's be honest here, i'm just too lazy to curl my hair these days.

Thanks so much for stopping by! xo

Lookout: On Trend

The biggest trend to keep an eye on this spring/summer is this look:
White, flowy dresses (usually midi or maxi)
Gold or jeweled sandals (pineapples too)
 These Prada sunnies
Bright, colorful clutches with tons of detail
Last but definitely not least tassels (Seriously. I NEED this in my life!)!!

Everything I linked above is under $50! Who says you can't achieve the look without emptying your bank account?

So I kind of have a funny story from a lesson I learned this week, and that is, don't buy shoes online. In the past I have had no problem ordering shoes online but this time it was a major fail! I ordered two pairs of shoes in the same size from the same store. Well one came in and they were too small. A few days later the next pair came in and they were too big. Needless to say, my weekend will involve going to exchange shoes and probably a strange look from the employee helping me, haha!

Leopard Accents

Top- Forever 21
Skirt- Piperlime [similar here & here]
Shoes- Nordstrom Rack [similar here & here]
Hat- Francescas
Earrings- Old, similar
Bracelet- Susie Raine

It's no secret that I love leopard and cheetah print, so these shoes were necessary in my closet. I found these earrings years ago at Forever 21, and it's taken me this whole time to find something even close to similar; however, I just found a pair on Etsy that I linked above!

I know I just did a post with a hat, and I was actually not planning on doing this post with one. But I thought it just pulled everything together. Lucky for y'all, this exact hat is back in stock! Grab it while you can.

Dressed Up Sweatpants

Tee- Old Navy [similar here & here]
Pants- Loft [similar here & here]
Heels- Lulu's [similar herehere & here 10% off w/code: lstf10]
Hat- Target
Earrings- Old, similar
Bracelets- Gifts, similar

I cannot tell you how many people have told me that these pants look weird; in fact I don't think anyone has told me they like them. But i'm totally cool with it because they look better that actual sweatpants and they are still comfortable. They're a little thin though, so definitely a summer or hot spring piece.

This past week has been so busy but so so fun! We had some friends, who are basically family, come up from SC for a visit. Between beach days, many ice cream trips, shopping, and a trip to Boston I am pooped, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Have you checked out the Lilly Pulitzer line at Target?! I normally try to shy away from Lilly because I am not really into that whole preppy label; however, I am may buy a thing or two just because the prices are so great.

Untitled #25

I couldn't pass up a chance to dream about summer when Sydney from Sincerely, Syd asked me to join the #BeachBagEssentialsLinkup. Today I am bring exactly what the hashtag says, what is (or what will be) in my beach bag, from a floppy hat to a stack of books. Also, who goes to the beach without a koozie or three?! These are by far my favorite, and they are 10% off when you use the code: lstf10 at checkout!!

Hang in there lovelies; we're so close to sandy toes and salty hair! xo

Thanks for hosting Sydney & Victoria!

Dress- Thrift store [similar here & here]
Cardigan- Nordstrom Rack [similar here & here]
Shoes- 5 below [similar here & here; dying for these]
Earrings- Kate Spade
Bracelets- Gift, similar

A few of my friends found this dress while we were thrift shopping and convinced me to buy it. My favorite is the jewels on the shoulder. Also, I was planning on doing this outfit with just the dress and heels but surprised myself with this mashup.

I have been craving Krispy Kreme glazed crullers like no other this past week! Like I have actually started to dream about them. I think it has come because my family and I always had the tradition when in SC of going to KK every Saturday morning when my dad was home, and now that's just not possible.

Thanks for reading, y'all! xo

March 2015 Favorites....

Untitled #24

For the most part March was about my trip to South Africa, so a lot of my favorites this month have to do with that.

Stargazing- Oh my goodness was the sky absolutely ahhh-mazing in Africa!! You could see the milky way... just was absolutely perfect! Between strokes of a paintbrush and the sunrises the experience of stargazing in SA was the time I felt closest to God.

Blanket Scarf- I know this is so a last season thing but woah was a blanket scarf the best thing I brought! It was perfect for the plane rides and for traveling in the car.

Ice cream- Long rides in a car with no air conditioning. Ice cream is sooo necessary.

Croakies- I probably would've lost my sunglasses a bajillion times if it were not for this amazing invention,

Makeup Mist and Set- Going straight from from hot sweaty weather to freezing weather was not ideal for my skin, and this spray helped a ton for giving my face a little extra spritz of moisture to start the day off.

Wristlet- Caring a purse around in SA was not the best thing so a wristlet was genius.

Magellan Shirt- I originally got this for another missions trip but it was perfect for this one since I was sweating buckets 2/3 of the day.

Nude pumps- If you couldn't already tell by the amount of times I have worn these in all my blog posts as of late, I really love these heels!

In other news, I have been in bed sick for the past 6 days and i'm just now being able to look at a screen. So hoping it doesn't last much longer because we have family friends visiting next week.

Thanks for stopping by! xo

Lace Over Peplum

Lace Blazer [similar herehere & here]
Peplum top [similar here & here]
Denim- Forever 21
Heels- DSW
Handbag- Kate Spade
Bracelets [similar]
Earrings [similar herehere & here]

I either think of outfits when I am supposed to be sleeping, find the perfect piece online that I would love to style with something I have, or have 5 seconds before I have to go somewhere and I don't want to wear another outfit twice. This was the latter of those cases. I couldn't think of anything for church on Saturday night or Sunday until it was time to leave. You be the judge! Did it turn out as a success or fail? xo
