Easter Dress Shop

I've been thinking about my Easter dress for a few weeks now but it just hit me yesterday that it's coming up this Sunday. Therefore, the procrastination must end tonight. It's a decision between lace, floral patterns, and just simple pastel colored dresses. I've got all of those linked in the widget above. All you have to do is click on the image and it will take you directly there.

Three other dresses that are great options would be this high low dress, which I am honestly debating on. This little white dress is up next, and this dress that I have decided to classify as the sweet southern Easter dress.

Happy Monday, and thanks for reading! xo

Turquoise Blazer

Blazer- Banana Republic (on sale!)
Tee- Gap, almost identical
Denim- Gap
Shoes- Banana Republic, similar
Bag- Rebecca Minkoff, similar
Earrings- Banana Republic
Necklace- Kendra Scott

When you mix my obsession with blazers and smack the color turquoise on one then all is right in the world of Catharine (imagine what a pink one would do ha!). It's just what I was looking for to get my out of the black and grey slump from winter. It adds the pop I was looking for while keeping me warm in the still cool weather. While on the subject of spring and blazers I thought i'd just throw this one out there. It's a statement but oh my goodness does it look stunning on.

Easter is so close and as usual I haven't found a dress yet. Nothing is popping out at me this year. Suggestions on styles or stores are most welcome! (;

The Styles I Go Back To

Today I wanted to talk about the styles I always reach for and can count on.

The first being shirt dresses. I think they are one of the easiest and most versatile dresses out there. I feel so put together in them, and all that's left to do is style the accessories. They're also fun because you can easily make them into a top by tucking them in a pair of pants or a skirt.

Secondly comes simple loose blouses. If there is anything that you need in your closet it would be the perfect plain blouse. I remember back in my freshman year of high school when that's all I would buy other than work out clothes. I had my comfy clothes and then I had all these tops, so I was set on an outfit for school and an outfit for dinner with family or friends.

Next shall be the basic little skirt. I'm saying little instead of mini because for myself personally I don't like to go too short. While I love patterned skirts they are not something I get the most wear out of. I love how hassle free they are; I don't have to stand there and figure out an outfit around the skirt. All I have to do is throw it on with a tee and vest and i'm ready to take on the day.

Last but definitely not least would be outerwear. Anything from a vest to a trench coat to a fur coat. I'll take an extra boost of chic that's for sure haha! Outerwear is the number one thing I have shopped for the past six months or so. When I pair a dress with a trench it makes me feel like one of those popular Pinterest posts, and when you feel like you've concurred something from Pinterest you can live happily ever after.

Also, I really quickly just wanted to mention Social Print Studio. We are coming upon the season of weddings, tons of birthdays, mother's/father's day, Easter and so forth. Which means gift giving. Social Print Studio is really neat because you can create anything from photo books to stickers of pictures from your Instagram or the pictures of your choosing. They are affordable and add the perfect touch of personal to your gift. I personally love the photostrips; I think they are a great gift to give my friends who are staying in dorm rooms; because they are a lot easier and fun to decorate with than a picture frame.

Camo Boyfriend

Top- Windsor, similar here
Jeggings- Windsor, save or splurge
Heels- Lulu's, similar here
Clutch- Old, designer or rent
Sunglasses- Francesca's, similar here

I've been so into boyfriend style button down tops. I think they have such a chic look to them while staying incredibly comfortable. You can pair them with denim pants with heels/boots when it's cooler and distressed shorts with gladiator sandals in the warmer months.

How was y'alls weekend?? We just had a coffee shop/bakery open up right behind my house and they have the best reese's cup cookies on earth. I have a feeling this is going to become one of those situations where they know my face and my order off the top of their heads. Oops!

Have I talked about how much i'm obsessed with the color Cobalt?! I feel like I have, but it doesn't hurt to talk about it again (; It is one of my favorite transition colors because it has that pop but it can be worn in every season. It also helps that my name is very close to the color's name; therefore, I declare it my color ha!
